She's ten!

Teagan turns double digits today!
This picture, when she covered her face with snowflake stickers, is from a play date a couple of days ago.
 Opening presents this morning!

A happy ten year old!

Teagan has been up and dressed since early this morning.  We started the day by opening the couple of presents she gets today (the rest will come in June).  Then we had a yummy breakfast of pumpkin pancakes.  Today we will finish making her peppermint ice cream cake--Teagan has elaborate plans for the decorating.  Tonight friends are joining us for dinner to help Teagan celebrate.

Taking the hot rod out

We are babysitting the school hot rod over vacation, so the kids went out today in style!

Teagan's haircut and the hot rod

Teagan's haircut and the hot rod really have nothing to do with each other, but the pictures were taken around the same time.  Teagan got a cute, short bob.
At the beach, showing off her haircut.
Jeff in the hot rod at the beach.  It belongs to Tim and is meant to be used to advertise the school, but we get to bring it home some days because it is a long way for Tim to drive it on the highway.
The purple stripe is a temporary, every now and then look!

We visit the New House!

The appraiser came to the house on Tuesday, so we got to visit as well.  This time we could take pictures and measurements.  Here are a few of the pictures of things we may have told you about.  Although we plan to take down a wall and some cabinets in the kitchen and have a lot of painting to do, it really does not need too much!
The crazy red closet in the master bedroom.  Removing the red thing from the lamp is all we'll need to do to actually match our clothes!
Looking into the kitchen from the dining room.  We are thinking we will take down that upper level of cabinets to open things up a bit.
 Probably Braeden's room.
Probably Teagan's room.  That is fabric on the walls!
From the front door.  You can see the covered bridge just beyond the tree.
Lanai.  The question is...is it big enough for a pool?  Time will tell!
The Florida room--it opens to the living room, dining room, and lanai.
Dining room

We also found two orange trees and a pineapple plant!  The living room picture wouldn't load.  I'll try to add it later.

Bill Turns 70!

We got to attend Bill's birthday party in St. Pete.  Meeps came down for the weekend, Sarah, Kade, and Tyler came down for the week, and some of Bill's friends came over to Bill and Bessie's house.  It was great to see everyone and be able to celebrate with Bill.  What a fabulous end to a busy end-of-school week and weekend!
Kade getting the hang of the punch balloon.
Teagan decked out in all sorts of luau gear with the gecko she colored.

Braeden is as tall as Meeps!

Moving Up

New Gate has a moving up ceremony for all students, with special recognition given to those who are moving to a different level (leaving kindergarten, 3rd grade, 6th grade, and graduating high school).  Both Braeden and Teagan received certificates for completing the 3rd and 6th grades and moving up to the next level.
Jeff handing out awards at the secondary recognition dinner.  Each of the seniors gave speeches.  We are already excited to attend for Braeden and Teagan and hear their speeches.

The sixth year students had awards for the 4th and 5th years.

Teagan getting her certificate and going to give Ms. Debbie a hug.
We have no pictures of Braeden walking through the gate because I was the one announcing his name!  Listening to speeches.
To represent the importance one person can have on the world the seniors lit candles and shared the light with the whole audience.
Out for frozen custard with friends afterwards--SweetBerries is quickly becoming an after events destination for us!
